A Very Special Journey With Orthodontist Dr. Leon Klempner

18 years ago,my daughter Katherine was born with Downs Syndrome. As our
family shortly learned, Katherine had more abilities than disabilities. We
believed that she would always be treated with the same respect and
dignity that you and I deserved and we truly lived our lives around this
motto.
However life as we know it is a journey. One of our many obstacles was
finding professionals who understood our challenge but were willing to
travel on our journey with us.
Finding Dr. Klempner was a gift. On our first visit we met Gail who spent
several hours with Katherine getting to know and understand her. Then we
met with Leon. Having experienced some rather unpleasant situations with
"Professionals" I was relieved when he too actually listened to us and
said it will take time, however, I think we can work together and get the
job done.
On Tuesday, April 7th, Katherine's braces were removed and not only does
she look beautiful, she feels so confident in herself .
They say it takes a village to raise a child and my family and I would
like to thank Coolsmiles for being part of our village.
